20 kgs vs 6 months: A Quest to Lose Weight.
20 kgs vs 6 months: A Quest to Lose Weight
What do you do when you've reached rock bottom? I am Nawsin Tabbassum Israth, 20, and wanted to share with everyone that there was only one way to go: ‘Get up and Move’. I realized that if you don't take care of yourself, your health would suffer as a result. I knew I had to lose weight if I wanted to fit into my favorite outfits and feel healthy again! My weight reduction experience shows that no matter where you are or what you are doing, everything is achievable if you put your mind to it.
Name: Nawsin Tabbassum Israth
Occupation: StudentAge: 20 years
Height: 5 feet 2 inches
Highest weight recorded: 74 kgs
Weight loss: 20kgsDuration it took me to lose weight: 6 months
The turning point: There was a period when I didn't care about my health or weight and would consume junk food without thinking about the implications. Soon after, the kilograms began to pile up, my clothes were tighter, and my health began to suffer as a result of my bad lifestyle. Others began making unwanted comments about my weight, and I decided that enough was enough. I knew I needed to get back in shape, so I began my weight reduction adventure and have not looked back!
My Breakfast: I alternate between boiled eggs, vegetables boiled, low calorie corn flakes and sandwiches for breakfast (brown bread).
My Lunch: consists of a bowl of vegetables , a bowl of brown rice, a bit of salad, and a bowl of yogurt.
My Dinner: When I had started working out initially, I just had yellow or green dal khichdi for my dinner for one whole month. Now, I have 1 chapri, a bowl of vegetables, a bowl of dal and a cup of milk.
Pre-workout meal: banana or banana smoothie as a pre-workout meal.
Post-workout meal: I work out in the evening and then eat supper.
I indulge in: I eat anything I want on cheat days, but I make sure to stick to my diet for the rest of the week. I used to be afraid of cheat days or cheat meals, but I've learned to adjust my diet properly.
My workout: I believe that your workout should be adapted to your requirements and interests so that it does not seem like a chore. So my workout plan consists of 1.5 hours of Zumba, HIIT, and strength training on three different days a week. My workouts are a lot of fun for me!
Low-calorie recipes I swear by: Corns, black coffee and nuts became my best friends during this weight loss journey!
How do you maintain your concentration? There is no disputing that everyone experiences low moods at some time in their lives and can easily lose sight of their fitness objectives. In my situation, anytime I felt down, I would listen to my body and figure out what it needed. When I did so, my energy levels increased and I felt more inspired to reach my exercise objectives.
Weight loss lessons: During my weight reduction journey, I discovered that losing weight is not as difficult as it may appear at first. Granted, it is not the simplest assignment in the world, but there is nothing in the world that you cannot accomplish if you put your mind to it. When you finally do, you will feel indescribable delight and happiness.
